#196 kings of convenience – i don’t know what i can save you from

koc

Whenever my heart’s in knots, i always seem to revisit this one song by folksy acoustic duo, kings of convenience, who comprise of Erlend Øye and Erik Glambek Bøe from Bergen, Norway. Now, KOC might be considered “mainstream” to uppity indie farts, but i see no reason not to feature what i consider a modern day Simon & Garfunkel, where there’s no need for music critic upmanship because the duo simply creates universal music (in the English language). “I Don’t Know What I Can Save You From”, so perfectly describes the soft, lingering tensions of past loves, and where we are now. I think it’s not so much the time that’s passed between two people, but more, how nothing’s really changed after all these years. – brian
