#14 2562 – techno dread

last saturday evening was the night everything collided, which meant i couldn’t make it for kulturkampf’s gig at electricity. i was looking forward to going, especially since he was the one who got me started listening to burial’s untrue, which is truly an elegant beauty. moving on, i’ve picked up something off that dubstep tangent – 2562’s aerial, a collection of hague-based producer dave huisman’s 12″ releases on tectonic recordings. in “techno dread” one finds the recognizably moody dubstep shuffles underlying the measured rigidities of minimal techno. i like what i’m hearing.
