dan friel from parts & labor has a new solo album on important records called ghost town, a dense package of equal parts noise and pop. in desert song, the stomping intro drone meets a series of terrifying fruit blender squeals and casiotone sequences, making for a concise two and a half minute blow to the head. this is analog music for the digital age.
